Personality disorders

 A personality is a combination of thoughts, emotions and behaviour that make us unique. And a personality disorder is a type of mental disorder in which you have a unhealthy and rigid pattern of thinking, behaving and functioning. These kind of disorders are thought to be a combination of genes and our environment.  Now you can very well imagine that if you have an ailing, run down, damaging, unsound and harmful ways of thinking, behaving and basically operating, the sheer havoc it can cause in your relationships, work, surroundings and day to day activities besides your own body. One is constantly and significantly under some form of stress, pressure, tension, worry, sadness, hopelessness or anxiety in one form or the other. And being constantly there all the time, one runs the risk of burn out which is a complete depletion  of energy,  strength and mental and physical exhaustion. Mid life - A book

 Well, before you even start correcting me about this weird topic, let me apprise you of the reason for the same ; My one army motivator, forever encourager, Ideator came up with the idea that this book on my journey so far will be an inspiring read. Before jumping into this, various kinds of thoughts filled up my mind ...so why wait ... Here goes          1) Who would anyone want to read a book of a middle aged womans journey ? Answer .. could be many if it's well written  2) How many books have I actually read ? To tell you honestly, very few as I am not an avid reader and lately; mostly spiritual books as I follow a spiritual path which is very close to my heart.       3) Do I know how to write ? Ofcourse not ? But should that stop me from expressing and sharing ....... Naaaaah !!!!! 4) Will it be challenging ? Hell !! Yesssssss !!! But there is no growth without challenges and that's just what I would like to share that is ...

Mid life : A period of Crisis or Growth

 Mid life is the central period of persons time spanning from 40-60 years approximately. It is marked by one major event after another like children leaving home, aging parents, greater differences between the partners resulting in seperation or divorce, changes in one's own body and aches and pains becoming real. The process can be overwhelming, challenging or a lot to take in. But it doesn't have to be because our life is a series of problem solving opportunities. The problems we face today whether in mid life or otherwise can either defeat us or develop us, depending on how we respond to them. The way out ; process, accept and share your feelings with your support group who can listen and provide understanding and compassion without judgement, set new goals exercise regularly no matter what, travel, find a new hobby, eat a balanced diet, sleep well, volunteer, spend time with your children , take care of your mental health and if required seek a therapist. Garden therapy

I grow plants for many reasons: to please my eye or to please my soul, to challenge the elements or to challenge my patience, for novelty or for nostalgia, but mostly for the joy in seeing them grow. –  David Hobson I somewhat liked gardening, found it therapeutic but it is only during covid times that I realised my profound love for the same. Now, I can easily say that gardening for me has turned into a passion and a commercial activity and my attachment and fondness for it, is growing manifold with each passing day.  Looking at fresh flowers, tomatoes, new vegetables, buds, plants every morning brightens my day instantly. Learning different ways to make the soil rich and more fertile, be it mixing that banana peel with water to make banana peel fertilizer or tossing egg shells in a food processor for the plants, the process amazes me.
