Mother's Day - An ode to all the mother's
A mother plays huge roles in a child's development as they are the first educators and mentors. The roles be that of a caregiver, health care provider, child's teacher in every sense of the way, the emotional nurturer, relationship coach and soo much more that is beyond words.
I have been raised by a strong mom who despite her own health issues, has always been totally, 1000 percent there for me no matter what. But while that remains the same when I became a mom, the one thing, out of many that changed was, we started giving priority to our needs as well and rightly so
Well, it came about with its own set of learnings and challenges. I remember working in afternoon shift during my daughter preschool days and not being able to give her time thru weekdays. I shared the same with my daughter's class teacher n still remember her asking me " Are you wasting time ? Are you going for parties ? Are you unhappy ? " And if the answer to all the above questions is NO, then you must continue working without guilt.
Extremely happy to see new mom's who feel that their child should know that their mom works from day 1 and is creating immense value thru the same
Now, this one is for all mom's out there; our kids don't want a perfect mom, they sure do want a happy mom and a guilt free mom.
And I am truly proud of many things in my life, but nothing beats being a mother. My children always bring out the best in me (hmmm... Sometimes the not soo good too 🙂)
