Parenting the BIG T - THE TEENS

Disclaimer Alert : This is a fun blog. The contents of this blog are only for creating a bit of amusement and light heartedness that one may be in dire need of, if you have a teenager at home.

Anyone who tells you that there are no special skills required in raising and coping with the teens, either hasn't been with one or is not telling the truth.

There is not one but plenty of skills required besides the usual of being wise, calm, assertive, inculcating discipline, good eating habits, creating boundaries and rules for usage of technology, language, bullying or getting bullied and spending wisely, amongst others. This skill set is a "must have" from the parents side.

That's about the skill set, let's talk about the concerns now.

Here goes ...

Concern no 1 :

This is a fact, they are way ahead of us in terms of life preparation.  So, how do you prepare someone with life skills because they already seem to "KNOW it ALL" πŸ˜€πŸ˜€

Concern no 2:

Cleanliness is next to Godliness but how does a parent ensure that ?

Concern No 3

How to make certain that I as a parent can provide space 24*7*365 to my teen till they are forced to live with me ? πŸ˜‰

Concern No 4:

Why can't maggi and junk food hunger pangs at 1 am be substituted with proper meals at normal, average, comfortable timings ?

Ways to piss off a Teenager πŸ™‚

1) Ask for any kind of computer help.

2) Say " I love you " in public

3) Say anything remotely upsetting about their friends

4) Tag them on social media

5) Try saying No for any of the friends party or get together especially when there are too many in a row

6) Try and drop them till their school stop.

7) Reminding them to brush their teeth, style their hair, eat less of that junk food, sleep in time ( please remind me what's in time now a days)

Looking for a solution ; here goes

ONE AND THE ONLY SOLUTION

Think about that solution seriously now. Not to be taken lightly at all.

Oops .. my teenage daughter is here. Better close before she gets to see this πŸ€πŸ˜¬πŸ˜ΆπŸ€πŸ’©πŸ˜·

On a little serious note, my dear children
