PEOPLE WHO INSPIRE - Tattoo Envy

Inspiration like success comes in many different forms. Inspiration occurs spontaneously, without intention. So, it's likely to feel like something that happens to you, rather than something that you choose or plan to experience.

Before she became a dear friend, she was a woman with tattoos for me. Each time I met her I would come back feeling more and more inspired.

My body is my journal, and my tattoos are my story.
Johnny Dep

I love this man but that story is for another time to tell.

Tattooed by a female tattoo artist from Bali

Show me a man with a tattoo and I'll show you a man with an interesting past.

Her tattoos too tell a story, a story of the kind of the person she is, to what she likes, her designing skills, exploring different parts of her body for the purposes of tattoo, her bindaas nature, living life on her own terms, the courage to stand out in the crowd and the fact that she is fearless. Yes, tattoos can really tell a lot about the person.

Energized and encouraged that I was, I took the number of tattoo artist and kept motivating myself to reach there. But alas, fear of needles stopped me from doing it for almost three years until it didn't. But that's also for another time.

Coming back to her and in her own words:

"The whole tattooing thing started as curiosity of what they are. I never thought I will take it to this level. My first one was a small Korean word faith. Then I stopped for a few years.

It   It has been 7 years since the time I stopped working that I got another one.  Designs at first were very simple and from the internet. Sometimes I just liked the design and sometimes I could relate to some. I was always fascinated with the mehendi designs so I have lots of mandalas which are a sign of peace and love as well.

Now, I don't like taking reference pictures anymore to the artists and the artists also I choose carefully. I sit and talk to them about what I want and like. Lately my tattoos have become very personal and more meaningful. Like my life. "

This is an artist from Goa, who only draws on the person without the paper. This freehand tattoo took 12 hours to finish. Yes, you heard that time right .. from 7 am to 7 pm.

SIMPLY WOW ! To have that kind of patience and dedication on both ends.

The finished art looked like this

Perfectly imperfect ... Aren't we all?

Thank you my dear friend for being such an integral part of my life.
