Travel diaries 1 - GOD'S OWN COUNTRY - Kerala part
Land of Coconuts, Land of Trees, Spice Garden of India, God's own country, The Jewel of South India and counting ;
How can one state be known by soo many names. But one has to really experience it, travel far and wide and cover the length and breadth of that state or atleast a part of it, if thats even possible.
It's mesmerising
It's calming
It's beautiful
It's soothing
It's enthralling
It's spellbinding
And it's also unfair that one place gets to have soo much of everything in abundance.
Let me take you back to my travel diaries
It was an early morning flight and the departure from home was a little past midnight. The sheer excitement of travelling after a gap of two years because of COVID kept us awake for the most part of the night. The journey took us a little more than three hours to complete. This was to be a budget travel with as much to explore as possible.
The travel was comfortable and kochi airport is delight to the eyes. Beautiful and aesthetic and it retains its position as the third busiest airport in the country due to the number of people travelling to God's own Country.
The airport is in the middle of greenery completely surrounded by natural beauty.
The local driver and the cab were booked much in advance and both were there at the airport for our 5 days exploration trip.
And so our journey began
The first stop was Munnar which is famous for its tea plantations. It is approximately 3 hours from the airport. It was getting there which made it so rejuvenating. Waterfalls, scenic view and the amazing spice plantation.
