Approval and Applause

I've never lived on transient borrowed light of Approval and Applause. I am the SUN ... perfectly Centred in my being and my Conscience.

Sushmita Sen

In a world short of inspiring role models, Sushmita Sen certainly stands out.

In today's time and age, all of us consciously and unconsciously, analyse everything about everyone.  Sizing people up based on their appearance, personality, characteristics, handshake, tone of voice, skill sets and the list goes on is part of being social and part survival. Being judged, bullied, ridiculed, criticized, made fun of or mocked is a norm wherein we indulge in ourselves.

Thinking is difficult, that’s why most people judge.” ~ Carl Jung

Feel elated when appreciated, which truly is scarce now a days and gloomy and dejected when mocked or criticized, is this really how we want to continue with our lives?

Something's that really helped me coming to terms with the judgemental people is as follows:

1) STOP DOUBTING YOURSELF as the only person who can know the absolute truth about you is you.

2) PEOPLE CANNOT MAKE YOU FEEL ANYTHING UNLESS YOU LET THEM.

3) STAY TRUE TO YOURSELF

The OPINION THAT REALLY MATTERS IS YOURS.

4)

When you feel judged or when you feel like judging others,  remember this quote by Earl Nightingale.

5) Be KIND TO YOURSELF AND TO OTHERS

 6) Always remember :

You have your way. I have my way. As for the right way, the correct way, and the only way, it does not exist.” ~

Friedrich Nietzsche

7) Lastly, if we ACCEPT as people appear to us, we will be CREATING HARMONY within us and in our environment.

 Ofcourse it's always great to receive validation, recognition, approval and applause from others but I sincerely hope and pray that your life does not depend on it because कुछ तो लोग कहेंगे, लोगों का काम है कहना छोड़ो बेकार की बातों में कहीं बीत ना जाए रैना

Always grateful for your time taken in reading my blogs 🙏
