Home Renovations

 There are different kinds of home remodelling and renovations;

Kitchen, bathroom, whole house, room additions, windows / door replacement, repairing property damage, ceilings, bathroom additions, woodwork redone, updating light fixtures and so on.

We are in the process of renovating our whole house which implies step by step remodelling of each bathroom and room along with the windows, light fixtures, almirahs  ... basically the works

Renovations also have different categories, minor, major and cosmetic. In the event of the entire house getting renovated which is surely major remodelling, I have witnessed the family shifting out to another apartment for a period of a year or so in order to be free from the dust, smell and day to day hassles of the same.

And there are some brave families and we are surely one of them, because we decided to get some major changes done while being in the same house. Which essentially meant shifting furniture, clothes, bed, infact every possible thing within the house from one room to another. No wonder, I call myself brave.

It's definitely not easy, but when ready it sure is going to be worth it.

No matter the kind of renovations, they all involve a lot of coordination work.

Let's go thru the renovation checklist :

1) THEME :Is there one ? What is it going to be ?

2) SET A BUDGET  : There is endless variety since the market is flooded with quality par excellence. It's best to set a budget before starting out

3) RESEARCH : those designs, fixtures, wall textures, paint and create mood boards on Pinterest.

4) FIGURE OUT A REALISTIC TIME FRAME : Home make overs definitely involve endless hard work, chaos and long hours. Figure out a time frame but do remember that it will most certainly take much longer than expected.

5)  DONT FORGET TO CONSIDER THOSE WORK PERMITS : they are unquestionably required and in order to avoid last minute chaos, do figure them out.

Here's wishing you and me all the very best for a fabulous make over of our homes for us and our loved ones.
