Travel Diaries - 3; Munnar
Munnar is a famous hill station in Kerala famous for lush green hills and tree plantations. The weather remains amazing round the year, and though rain was expected and predicted, thankfully it didn't arrive.
So we had gentle and fresh breeze surrounded by abundant and bountiful greenery.
There's plenty to see in Munnar and we visited quite a few places. Echo point, a spellbinding destination which offered stunning view of the point and is surrounded by hills and valleys. Why is it called echo point is because the voice echoes in the valleys as you scream. It is fun to hear your voice again and again like one has seen in the movies, but you need to be loud enough.
Next up on the list was Mattupetty Dam, another gorgeous scenic location, surrounded by tea plantations, spice gardens and hills.
We also visited the Tata tea museum for exploring the history of the Tea and me being an avid tea drinker, loved every bit of the varieties of teas on sale available right outside the museum and ended up purchasing tea in abundance from there.
Absolutely unmissable is the Kerala Cuisine. Like they say, when in Rome, do as Romans do. When in Munnar, try the authentic local cuisine. It's amaaaazzzzing to say the least and has everything a foodie can possibly ask for prepared with that special Kerala touch to it. I can totally vouch for the fact that vegetarians and non vegetarians will totally fall for it.
I LOVED IT TOTALLY
Last but not the least, no trip to Kerala can ever be complete without the wellness spas and massages which are done with medicated herbal oils and have various health benefits. You got a ache in any part of your body, a mental health concern or just wanna feel relaxed, there is a therapy or treatment or a rejuvenating massage waiting just for you.
I tried the Shirodhara massage where the medicated oil is slowly dropped on the forehead over one hour and besides a host of other benefits, it brings about complete relaxation in body n mind.
LOVED IT EVEN MORE.
That's all for now 😊
Grateful to you for creating the time to read my blog.
God bless always
