Wanna SHOP ? Let's go to Sarojini Nagar Market

 Sarojini Nagar Market, our very own Desi flea market is every girls shopping paradise and since I have two girls it's twice as much paradise. We make occasional trips here especially when the girls are looking for  hep, trendy clothes and accessories in throw away prices. Also when we are looking for quantity more than the quality since since mostly the clothes are export rejects of brands like Zara, H & M etc, we end up going there.


Also known as SN and bargain bazaar, this market has never disappointed us even once. There are times, when we have gone to the branded showrooms in the malls and the girls have not got what they had in mind but that's never been the case with SN.

From the favourite pair of denims under Rs 300, to off shoulder dresses, tank tops, accessories, bags, fancy slings, designer tops, heels and how, sneakers in all shapes and sizes, leather jackets, kitchen utensils to cosmetics, it has it all.

Infact I am reminded of Susmita Sen's interview where she revealed that her pageant gown was stitched from a fabric sourced from Sarojini Nagar.

Bonus is that if one is looking for some brands, those are also available but the essential crux of the market is the street shops.


But one needs to watch those wallets, purses, phones and all personal belongings. I remember someone stealing my phone from inside my sling bag and it all happened before I could say , "Hey ! Stop !! A lady took advantage of the crowd, slid her hand inside by bag while I was  going from one lane to another. She even spoke a sentence or two about the crowd and the minute I crossed the jam packed congested lane and reached out for the phone . Phew. . GONE and switched off. 

The crowds ... are crazy and during festivals it's even crazier 


But coming back to the good parts; if street food is what you don't mind having, then street food is also what one will find in abundance. There are tiny food stalls crammed in every nook and corner of SN.

So go ahead, find you dream dress, ofcourse you would need to bargain for the same, team it up with gorgeous accessories and footwear and you are ready to go

Let me end this blog by saying that it certainly has something for everyone and never disappoints but you better watch out for those belongings of yours.

Introverts vs Extroverts

We all have different personality types which are not limited or restricted to being an introvert or an extrovert. But just to make it simple to understand, let's broadly curb it to down to these two personalities. While growing up also, I would be mostly happy being myself. Introverts are definately not anti-social. I feel they are just not social enough and they are happy that way.  Knowing myself very well, let me try and burst a few myths about introverts.  1) They are unfriendly and like I said earlier anti social. I can certainly vouch for the fact that they are neither. They prefer time alone but that does not make them unfriendly at all. 2) It's difficult to get to know them. That is truly not the case, but introverts prefer not to open themselves with all who prefer to small talk. Disrespect

 I am sure everyone is aware of what disrespect means but just to break it down; disrespect is  1) to treat without respect 2) show or express contempt or rudeness 3) low regard for someone or something. 4) to disrespect someone is to act in an insulting way towards them. 5) It is actually the exact opposite of respect by acting rude, impolite or offensive. I am sure all of us have witnessed it somewhere / sometime.Being disrespected is definately not a part of healthy relationships. Let me give you an example of disrespect  in a form of put down. Radha and Ashok have been married for a while and Ashok knows that Radha always wanted to become a doctor but could not for some reasons. While they are out for dinner with the extended family, Ashok says a mean joke suggesting Radha was not smart enough to become a doctor which causes Radha to be embarrassed.
